Personal & Professional Development Abroad
In the summer of 2008, I had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong and spend five weeks volunteering at Crossroads Foundation. Crossroads is a non-profit organization that supports the poor and oppressed around the world. They collect and distribute supplies to refugee camps, orphanages and other areas where the goods are most needed. I helped with secretarial duties as well as marketing and graphic design tasks, including bilingual work. It was a great experience and I had the opportunity to work with people from many different countries and cultures.
